Happy NEW YEAR!

This is the language of the majority of the whole world right now, but what really change? What is the new thing about the new year? Has anything really changed as new from old?

So what is the significant thing apart from the black-and-white readings that clarified the new year? This has call for a better thought and understanding.

As children of God we need to cross-check our own personal lives and discover msny old and inappropriate things of all kinds in us so as to change them to new but better, such as our characters and attitudes towards God and our fellow Brothers even our services unto the Lord together with responses to situations so as to be convinced that we are actually entering into New era which we call New Year and see how things around us that have remained adamant would also responds to the changes we have in ourselves.

Obviously, changes bring about changes I mean whenever there is a change in something there tends to be change in the affected things so why don’t we try to change for better this year so as to experience better changes in our tolal lives.

May the holy Spirit of God help us to do this as the year goes by in Jesus name. Amen. ….Raph

THOUGHFUL CHALLENGE

Words from the Master.

“And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades; for if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. But I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment than for you.”Matthew 11:23-24

This was originally said to the Capernaum by our Lord Jesus Christ challenging them for their Ill-responses to the gospel about 2,000 years back. Looking at the world today and considering the way people react to the gospel nowadays, what could have been said by the Lord Jesus Christ if He still alive physically today, to our communitie chief, to the Kings, the church leaders and to the leaders of the government?

As if that is not perfectly said by me so that I can direct the question to you my reader, how have you reacted to the gospel so far, do you preach the gospel? Do you listen to the gospel? Do you go to church? Are you a Christian? Do you believe in Christ and above all how have you reacted to every gospel preached to you? Can you say you have done the best you can?

Now if you have complicated answer to the above questions, the statement is directed to you reminding you that the judgement is for everyone regardless of your position, works in the vineyard and influences of any kind, serve the Lord your God with all your heart with all your soul and with all your mind love your neighbours as yourself and do unto every man as if unto the Lord especially the household of faith as the scripture says (Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.) then you are good to go, God bless you.

Such is life

I tried to understand why some things happen under the sun, and during my research to get out things and why things really happen, as a matter of fact I have also learned to expect anything from anyone regardless of my actions and reactions to them.

I have stopped thinking about perhaps I’m wrong or not, it’s the nature of man, humnnn.

I know of course that big thing here, sometimes you might not know what some people are passing through at the particular time you might need them more, what a life!

Hence, Just live your life to please God, put smiles on as many as you can and feel satisfied every moment, because you might not get your expected satisfactions from those people you have.
Don’t change your good character as a result of the bad ones from others, hold on to the rightful things, and The Lord shall justify you. (John 14:27)

May we not be discouraged to do as much good as we can so as to receive the good rewards at last to the Glory of The Lord God Almighty in Jesus name.

Overcoming Oppression and Depression Scriptures

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1, KJV).

Confess: I’m standing fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has made me free; I will not be entangled again in a yoke of bondage.

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:31-32, KJV).

Confess: I continue in the Word of God and I am Jesus’ disciple indeed. I know the truth and the truth makes me free.

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Luke 10:19, KJV).

Confess: Jesus has given me power over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt me.

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. (John 8:36, KJV).

Confess: The Son of God has made me free and I am free indeed, in Jesus name.

Neither give place to the devil. (Ephesians 4:27, KJV).

Confess: I refuse to give place to the devil of fear, anxiety, doom, gloom and hopelessness.

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” Ephesians 6:10, KJV.

Confess: Thank you Lord for your strength! I am not depending on my own strength. I am strong in the Lord and the power of His might.

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” 1 John 4:4, KJV.

Confess: I am of God. God is my Father. I have overcome evil spirits, because greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7, KJV).

Confess: I submit myself to God and his love and power. I resist the devil [of fear, anxiety, oppression, depression and torment] and he flees from me in terror. Go, devil, go, in Jesus name!

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. (1 Peter 5:8-9, KJV).

Confess: My adversary the devil, as a roaring lion goes about seeking whom he may devour. He may not devour me. I resist him steadfast in the faith. (Make a fist now and say it with force.) I resist you Satan, in Jesus name.

Copy or print these scriptures out and confess them at least three times a day. You should sense the oppression lifting from your mind within a short time. Be very strong and forceful in your confession of faith.

Dialogue of Salvation.

CHALLENGE: Time n again I’ve read that through God’s grace we are saved. Does that mean that our good works n deeds doesn’t matter? Does that mean that even f we commit mortal sin we are saved because of God’s grace? Does that mean that even if commit mortal sin in the future we are already saved through God’s grace? If this the case, what’s the use of being a good person. These questions really nagged my mind. I hope I can be enlightened on this. My religion is different from but I know you are well versed on these matters.

RESPONSE: salvation is a one time event, where Jesus’ payment on the cross is inacted on your behalf and our gracious Lord “gives” salvation to you. It is ALL of God and none of you (God is doing all the work and you are doing nothing). After salvation you are commanded to do a few things. Grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus and do good works. Growing up in Christ is a partnership with Jesus. Someone committing sin is like breaking a covenant of Salvation again and again whenever he committed the sin, and remember, when you are in a partner with someone, whenever you disappoint that person the deed of that partnership I mean the rules and regulation of that partnership is broken and you need to apologize and or face an internal penalty, it’s the same thing that happened when a Christian turn back to God and said lord I am sorry forgive me. The question is there will be a day that you will be looking for a chance to repent or to apologize it may not be possible it might be a time that you are not granted the grace and you become a backslider. God will help us. As you obey God’s word you grow up in Christ. The good works you do have nothing to do with salvation and has everything to do with obeying the Lord because of the salvation He provides. It’s called decipleship. Salvation and decipleship are two totally different things. One is God doing everything and the other is you doing something BECAUSE of what God did for you. As Jesus said, IF you love Me you’ll obey my commands.
